This April sees the launch of a new website for artists and educators Mark Todman and Marcia Ley.

This website will help them to promote their work both in the community working for schools, health organisations, and in higher education, as well as their individual practise as artists.

The site is fully content managed using Drupal 7, and built in html 5 and css3.

Website Development

With all websites it is important to keep an eye not only that the content is up-to-date, relevant, semantic and compliant but also that the design and structure are keeping pace with the changes in the ever changing world of the internet.

This week saw the launch of a new website for the recently transformed yourPrintDepartment, a design and print company based in North Tyneside.

Web-dog worked in conjunction with yourPrintDepartment on the site design. The site is managed through a CMS and developed in HTML5 and CSS3.

Emily Ward

Emily Ward is a portrait artist based in North Tyneside. Built in Drupal 7 the new website is versatile, adaptable and easily managed, providing all the functionality needed to launch a new business and future development.

W.A.L.K.

A sister site to mikecollier.eu, W.A.L.K. is a project based at Sunderland University bringing together three artists with a common theme to their practice, yes, walking!

Mike Collier: 100 mile walk

Launched this week to promote a new project commissioned by VARC, 100 Mile Walk, this website provides artist and educator Mike Collier with a space to develop new work and archive old projects, disseminate information and collaborate.
Built around the Drupal 7 Content Management System, HTML5 and CSS3 and utilising Google maps.

Sally Madge

A new website for performance artist Sally Madge.
As with many artists sites a simple clean look was required with full emphasis on the artwork itself.
The site is coded using HTML5 and CSS3 and utilises the jQuery library and third party hosting for video. Developing in HTML5 is possible because of modernizr and similar libraries, and I currently have two further websites coming to completion, developed in Drupal 7 and with CSS3.

Classic Photographics

Classic Photographics buys and sells camera equipment and needed a clean efficient site to list and promote  its products.
Webdog was asked to develop a web site with a design that had a traditional, retro feel to it, and which was flexible in its content management and easily updated, with Drupal providing the CMS.

Andrew Burton, Sculptor

Web-dog launched a new content managed website for Sculptor Andrew Burton as he leaves for India on sabbatical from Newcastle University.
The site is built around the Drupal CMS and gives andrew full control over the site content.

Bill Quay Farm website

This Autumn will see the launch of two new websites for very different clients, both developed using the open source Content Management System Drupal. This provides a simple and effective way of managing the site content and developing functionality 'in house'.

The first is for Bill Quay Farm, and coincides with the celebration of their 20th year of community farming. They are looking for an online presence to promote their many services and events.

The second is a site for the artist Andrew Burton, who requires documentation and promotion of his sculptures, both process and exhibitions.

Joanna Bourne - Joomla website

 This Summer we launched a new website for printmaker Joanna Bourne.
This site was developed using the Content Management System Joomla which enables easy updating and development of the web content.

We also develop using the Drupal content management system and CMS made simple, depending on the project and clients needs.

LocatorArt goes national

The contemporary art listings website Locatorart.org was launched by Web-dog this week as a national listings site covering England, Scotland and Wales.

Web development 2010

Room for you was launched at the end of last year and is now up and running and promoting the organisations arts activities with patients within the cancer ward in the Freeman Hospital in Newcastle.

Web-dog is currently developing a new look and functionality for the national art listings site locatorart.org. We are looking forward to the site going live in February 2010.

Headway HQ

 This month Web-dog launched a new web site for Headway Arts, HeadwayHQ, who specialise in participatory arts, across art forms, offering people the chance to take part in highly inclusive, world class arts projects.
Headway were awarded Awarded Leading Visionary of the Future in Europe in European Year of Creativity & Innovation 2009

Room for You Hospital Arts

Web-dog is developing a new website for Room for You Hospital Arts, based in their new home of the Freeman Hospital, Newcastle as part of the Northern Centre for Cancer Care, formerly at the General Hospital.
The site will be a place for the team to document artworks and projects, a place to locate and disseminate information for patients and families, carers and staff.
The site incorporates a bespoke Content Management System for easy updates and a Paypal donation button.

Waygood Radio Club Blog

Waygood Radio Club was established for artists, writers, performers, sound artists and musicians who are interested in producing work for two way radio communication.

Web-dog has designed the blog to reflect the radio club branding.
